Last Year and in a somewhat unusual context, ahead of the COP 22 and in the midst of an electoral campaign, the 8th edition of Pollutec Maroc, the international trade fair for environmental equipment, technologies and services, was held last 5-8 October at the Casablanca International Fairgrounds, and confirmed its status as a major general-interest event, in line with the country's needs and priorities in terms of sustainable development.
This edition of Pollutec Maroc, under the patronage of “His Majesty King Mohammed VI”, was both traditional, in that it provided ongoing support for Moroccan industry and local authorities in implementing pollution prevention and treatment solutions, and at the same time unusual, in that it was a pre-COP event, with the goal of highlighting existing solutions aimed at giving African countries the means to cope with and mitigate the impact of global warming.
The four-day event drew some 4,000 professional visitors, who came to meet with 160 national and international exhibitors from 13 countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, China, Spain, France, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkey), from all sectors (water, waste, air, energy, and environmental remediation, among others).
